HANSATON

Revolutionising the perception of hearing instruments

Since day one, Pilotfish has been working with Hansaton to fulfil the vison of turning the stigmatising appearance of prothesis into products that blend seamlessly into the users’ daily lives.

Pilotfish has designed Hansaton’s entire product line of hearing instruments and has designed and produced the accompanying accessories for the last 20 years. In 2015, the family-owned company was successfully sold to and integrated with the Sonova Group, one of biggest hearing aid providers in the world. Pilotfish supported this process in all matters related to design and branding.

Hansaton’s Earpack is the case that holds hearing instruments and it was used for all hearing aids with different inserts. The principle of the insert was copied throughout the industry and has now become a standard. The Earpack was the first project that Pilotfish worked on from concept to production, from the product design through the mass production of the complete packaged product. It was produced over three million times for over 15 years – until the next generation replaced the original design.

“We were impressed again and again by how quickly Pilotfish was able to develop a deep understanding of the respective topics and offer a suitable range of solutions. Over the years we have come to know Pilotfish as a real partner and with them we were able to win numerous renowned design awards. To the next 20 years!”
