The award-winning control unit is a wall-mounted controller for HCL luminaires, a modern concept in lighting that centers around people and positively impacts general well-being and health.

Pilotfish was responsible for the complete development of the control unit, including industrial design, user interface design of the product, electronic hardware development, mechanical engineering and production. 

The exceptional design won three awards in 2020. It was recognized by the international jury of the Red Dot Award and awarded for Best Product Design. Also the German Innovation Award recognized the BIOLUX HCL system as a winner in the category ‘Excellence in Business to Business – Lighting Solutions’ for ‘innovations that advance the industry through their originality, implementation and effectiveness’. And last but not least, it received the coveted Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design mark certificate in recognition of outstanding design.
