25 years of human-centered design: a journey shaped by people

Stories
On a warm October evening in Berlin, the lights of MotionLab.Berlin glowed a little brighter. Designers, engineers, partners, clients and friends gathered under one roof to celebrate something bigger than an anniversary. They came to celebrate a journey that started 25 years ago with a simple belief: products should be made for humans first.

Celebrating a legacy of end-to-end product development

The space buzzed with familiar faces and new voices. People who once sketched concepts on napkins now stood beside those shaping the next generation of connected devices. Stories unfolded in every corner. Early prototypes were remembered with a smile. Shared challenges turned into laughter. Quiet victories grew louder as glasses clinked in the air.

Throughout the evening, one thing became clear. Pilotfish was never just about design, technology or processes. It was always about the people behind them. The thinkers, the makers, the visionaries who trusted us to bring ideas to life from the very first insight to the final product in hand.

At MotionLab.Berlin, surrounded by machines, materials and memories, we felt the weight and warmth of 25 years. Not as a milestone, but as a living story. One shaped by collaboration, curiosity and a collective desire to create products that make life better, easier and more human.

And as the music played and conversations drifted deep into the night, a quiet understanding settled in. Our journey is far from over. New challenges wait. New technologies open new doors. New shapes, systems and solutions are ready to be crafted.

The next chapter starts now. And just like the last 25 years, it will be written together.
