Pilotfish Taipei achieves ISO 9001:2015 certification

News, POV

Pilotfish Taipei is breaking new ground for a hybrid creative product development and manufacturing agency, achieving ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) certification through SGS.

It’s a huge accomplishment for the team and a unique achievement within the creative industry.

The certification demonstrates that Pilotfish fosters a culture that values ongoing improvement in its management systems to produce consistent, high-quality outputs, with the internal structures to support this.

While the ISO 9001:2015 certification is common among production businesses, it’s uncommon for an agency like Pilotfish, which is renowned for its creative reputation in industrial design.

“Creative agencies are not normally certified – there’s often a fear that it will take away the creativity. But we think it’s the other way around. We can be daringly creative, but it’s also very well documented and supported,” Taipei Managing Director, Marco Heusdens.

The certification is important for Pilotfish to demonstrate its focus on:

  • ensuring client satisfaction
  • producing consistent, high-quality products
  • ongoing improvement and forward planning
  • maintaining equipment standards

This certification offers peace of mind to Pilotfish clients that its quality management system meets international standards to manufacture high-quality products in a controlled environment, supported by well-maintained equipment and trained, passionate staff.

It also gives Pilotfish a competitive advantage and is invaluable to its work developing consumer products from concept to production, particularly with medical device manufacturing.
